Applicable materials
Suitable for measuring the thickness of a good conductor with a sound velocity of 5920 (m/s) for metals such as steel.
Basic Principles
The principle of ultrasonic thickness measurement is similar to that of optical wave measurement. The ultrasonic pulse emitted by the probe reaches the backtesting object and propagates within it. When it reaches the material interface, it is reflected back to the probe. The thickness of the tested material is determined by accurately measuring the time of ultrasonic propagation in the material.
