This coating thickness gauge is a crystallization of high-tech, using microcomputer technology, with high accuracy, digital display, stable reading, low power consumption, easy operation, no calibration knob, single probe full range measurement, small size, light weight, and functions such as storage, reading, statistics, and low voltage indication. Its performance level is ahead of similar instruments.


operational principle

The coating thickness gauge uses electromagnetic induction method to measure the thickness of the coating. The probe located on the surface of the component generates a closed magnetic circuit, which will be closed to varying degrees as the distance between the probe and the ferromagnetic material changes, causing changes in magnetic resistance and probe coil inductance. This principle can be used to accurately measure the distance between the probe and ferromagnetic materials, i.e. the coating thickness.

There are two calibration methods for this machine: one piece calibration or five piece calibration;

● Digital backlight display, no parallax, suitable for night use;

This instrument is equipped with automatic shutdown to achieve power-saving function;

After power outage, the instrument can retain the current calibration parameters for a long time;

Low voltage indication: When the battery voltage is too low, the battery should be replaced in a timely manner;.

● Delete function: Delete individual suspicious data that appears in the measurement, or delete data in the storage area for new measurements;

● Equipped with automatic statistical functions: mean (MEAN), maximum (MAX), and minimum (MIN).


Application scope

This instrument adopts the magnetic thickness measurement method, which can conveniently measure the thickness of non-magnetic material coatings on ferromagnetic materials, such as zinc, copper, chromium coatings on steel surfaces or coatings such as paint, enamel, fiberglass, spray coating, asphalt, etc. This instrument is applied in industries such as machinery, automotive, shipbuilding, petroleum, chemical, electroplating, spray painting, enamel, plastics, etc.
